Welcome to our Buckeye Valley Youth Basketball Association website!

Our intent is to provide Buckeye Valley families with information about our youth basketball programs. We hope our website is beneficial to all who visit. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please visit our Contact Page to submit your question.

Our 2023/24 season kicks-off with travel team tryouts on September 25th and will run through February 2024. Registration for rec, miniball, and K/1st grade clinics opens October 5th and closes October 27th. Please register in a timely manner so we can all be as organized as possible.

CORE PRINCIPLES

Here at Buckeye Valley Basketball – we have three core principles for our league. We abide by these core principles to make sure we all have fun and stay active.

HEALTY COMPETITION

However, the “win-at-all-costs” mentality so prevalent in youth sports today is not only destructive to team morale, it severely undermines individual self-esteem. We believe in a healthy competitive environment that allows everyone an opportunity to make the most of their abilities.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

We believe that learning to play the game is only half the equation. Helping children develop character is the other half. The value of teaching children teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship goes far beyond the game.

FUN

A Message from Coach Gast

Thank you so much for all that you do to benefit our boys’ basketball program. I truly believe that we have one of the best organized and productive travel basketball programs in the area. This is because of your hard work, dedication, and willingness to work with our High School program. I know we reap the benefits of the youth program at the Middle School and High School levels; it has already started to happen! I look forward to many years of working with both of you. Please know that your hard work is greatly appreciated by our basketball program.
